high hopes is a part of a series of paintings that are a cognitive collaboration between myself as the artist and ChatGPT. this particular piece has a partner piece, wide dreams. it can be displayed as a single unit or as a set.

when I create an original painting, i go through an internal question process making creative decisions every step of the way. i became curious, what would happen if I had ChatGPT answer these questions.

with these thoughts unfolding in my mind, i decided to take on an experiment into what working with AI might have to offer to my creative process.

this original painting is 10’’ x 10’’ with a depth of 1.5’’ and is unframed. all edges are painted and designed. it is meant to be hung without a frame as the sides are a part of the artwork.
