key to my heart

we fit together just right. think peanut butter and jelly. think vinegar and french fries. when the world is crumbling around us we always have each other and that is all we need. you hold the key to my heart. 

i’m often taken by the spirit and sense of those around me that matter to me most. in chatting with a close friend, she shared her thoughts of how hearts bring her joy and feelings of whimsy. I was touched by the thought of how a singular shape can evoke such universal positivity. this is at the heart of the inspiration in these pieces. 

this original acrylic painting is on a 12’’ x 12’’ canvas panel. the piece is not framed. a cost effective framing option is to purchase a shadow box that is 14’’ x 14’’ or larger and affixing it to the box using velcro dots.
